Speak Your Hem Truth-Virtual Event

Thursday, September 24, 2026
6:30 pm7:30 pm
Zoom link will be provided once you register.

Join us for a virtual educational event presented in partnership with Novo Nordisk and the WPA Chapter, focused on helping members of the hemophilia community feel more informed, confident, and prepared to have meaningful conversations with their healthcare providers.

During this conversation, we’ll explore:

Challenges people may experience with their current hemophilia A management and administration.
The importance of discussing breakthrough bleeds and concerns about bleed protection with your healthcare provider.
How tracking treatment experiences—including dosing, bleeds, and symptoms—can help you communicate your experiences more effectively.
The value of staying connected with the broader hemophilia community and keeping up with available resources.
How to recognize when you may be making compromises between treatment convenience and bleed protection.
You deserve fewer compromises. Your experiences matter, and speaking up can help you work with your healthcare team to find an approach that better fits your needs.

This virtual event is an opportunity to learn, ask questions, and connect with others in the hemophilia community.

Spokes Men for Bleeders Fall Festival

Saturday, October 17, 2026
New Life Community Church. 4102 Tabler Station Rd. Inwood, WV 25428

This year’s Spokes Men for Bleeders will be part of a Fall Festival for the entire family. This is a grass roots awareness and fundraising effort started by West Virginia parents, Steve & Lisa Nick. Steve & Lisa have two sons with severe hemophilia. Years ago, Steve decided to begin a one-day, one-hundred-mile bike ride to bring awareness to West Virginians who live each day with bleeding disorders. All proceeds from his ride benefit WVNBDF. In turn, Steve & Lisa partner with WVNBDF and sponsors to throw a finish line party for the riders and community members.
